🌊SeaO₂ Featured in de Volkskrant, a Leading Dutch Newspaper 💨

de Volkskrant, one of the Netherlands' leading newspapers, has highlighted SeaO₂’s innovative technology for removing CO₂ from the oceans! 📰

With our prototype located on the Afsluitdijk in the Netherlands coupled with phase 1 of our pilot which is under construction, we are pioneering a breakthrough approach: extracting CO₂ from seawater, which then absorbs more CO₂ from the air. Our method for carbon removal was featured as part of the Faculty of Impact, an initiative that helps scientists turn research into real-world solutions.

With support from this program, one of our founders, Dr. Rose Sharifian, transformed her research into a startup with global impact potential. Our mission? Remove 1 gigaton of CO₂ from seawater by 2045! 🌱💡

We've already sold 140 tons of pre-purchase carbon credits to companies like Klarna and Ledgy, proving the viability of our solution. 📈💰

This marks a major milestone for us. As Dr. Sharifian emphasizes, "We want to help companies in their transition. As long as they are not yet able to reduce their CO₂ emissions, we can at least compensate for them with our invention."
