SeaO₂ at Aquatech Amsterdam 2025🌊💡
Aquatech Amsterdam 2025 brought together over 25,000 water professionals from around the world in a vibrant celebration of water innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology. As the only global event dedicated exclusively to water since 1968, Aquatech has long served as a central hub for the most forward-thinking minds in the field. For SeaO₂, it was the perfect setting to connect, collaborate, and share our vision for the future of ocean-based carbon dioxide removal (CDR). 🌍🚀
At SeaO₂, we are pioneering a novel approach to CDR using Bipolar Membrane Electrodialysis (BPMED) to extract carbon dioxide directly from seawater—ultimately removing it from the atmosphere. 🌫️➡️🌊 Our mission is to scale a permanent, ocean-based solution that is not only efficient and sustainable but capable of making a meaningful global impact. As we work toward deploying this technology at scale, we came to Aquatech with a focused objective: to find visionary partners working in key enabling technologies. 🤝✨
Specifically, we were looking to connect with innovators in:
💧 Seawater treatment
🔄 Seawater pumping
🧪 Advanced membranes
💨 CO₂ degassing
We were thrilled to exhibit in Hall 13, right at the entrance of the Innovation Hub—a space buzzing with fresh ideas and ambitious technologies. 💡🧠 Throughout the four-day event, we had the opportunity to engage with a wide range of companies and professionals who are actively pushing boundaries in water and carbon technologies. These interactions were not only inspiring but fruitful: we connected with several promising leads that are directly aligned with the areas we’re exploring. 🌱📈
From developers of next-generation membranes to companies working on scalable degassing solutions, our conversations were rich, insightful, and full of potential. We’re already following up with a number of these contacts and are optimistic about what these collaborations might bring. 🔗🔬
SeaO₂ remains fully committed to scaling marine carbon removal (mCDR), and events like Aquatech are critical to building the ecosystem that will support this mission. 🧭🌊 We’re energized by the momentum we gained and grateful for the interest shown in our work. If you didn’t get a chance to meet us at Aquatech but are working in a related field—or are simply curious about our technology—we’d love to connect. 📩💬
The future of carbon removal is in the water, and we’re just getting started. 💪🌍
