We’re beyond excited to share that SeaO₂ has officially moved into our new home at the Matrix Innovation Center 🏢, right in the heart of the Amsterdam Science Park. This marks a major milestone in our journey — a new chapter that aligns perfectly with our mission and momentum.
The Matrix Innovation Center is more than just a building. It’s a dynamic hub where science 🔬, innovation 💡, and entrepreneurship 🚀 come together to shape a more sustainable future 🌱. The environment here is designed for deep tech pioneers like us, offering state-of-the-art office and laboratory space that supports ambitious R&D, creative collaboration, and meaningful growth 📈.
Our mission at SeaO₂ is crystal clear: accelerate marine carbon removal (mCDR) 🌊 through our cutting-edge direct ocean capture (DOC) technology and scale to the gigaton level. As we push the boundaries of ocean-based carbon removal, we need an environment that supports bold experimentation, cross-disciplinary teamwork, and scalable solutions. That’s exactly what we’ve found here.
Our new space gives us access to advanced lab infrastructure 🧪, room to grow 🪴 with our expanding team, and a brilliant community 🧠 of researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators. Being surrounded by people who share a passion for tackling the climate crisis has already sparked exciting conversations — and we’re just getting started.
